Headshots Packaging

Note: This page is tailored to students from Old Broad's Way.....yet same rules apply for other interests

I'm an actor myself. I've been through this several times, and I know how important it is for your career. Wherever you go in this business, people will want to see you, the product, marketed at your best...but not just in 3D...but in 2D as well (that's my job). But, even that won't get you the job....you need to look unique...something the casting directors haven't seen. Don't worry....all you need to do is everything you've been training to do in dance/acting/singing class....that's right: 1. Breathe 2. Be Yourself 3.Tell a Story with your eyes. Yep, you can use everything you've been learning in acting class in our photo shoot as well (as well as most areas in life!). We'll get you great shots in no time.

Since all reproduction facilities work from digital files these days,  there is no need for printed 8x10's.  That being said, all headshots are saved on CD in two 8x10 proportional sizes for both printing and sending emails.  Each shot is saved in color (black and white on request....we're moving away from B&W these days), and includes retouching for your final selections [up to 12], which are formatted as large/small jpg's and tiffs.  This amounts to three files per headshot.  Here's the breakdown of what you will get on your final CD.

Each headshot comes in:

1 large color .jpeg (to be used for Web applications)

1 small color .jpeg  (to be used as email attachments)

1 large color .tiff (for professional reproductions)

Large jpegs can be used for sending headshots as attachments to your email or on your website, while small jpegs are great for sending your headshots in the body of an email.  Having the file sizes already saved to disk saves you a lot of time from having to change them each time you send an email.  Tiff files are what you will take to the printer for printing 8x10 hard copies. Most photographers don't provide you with this many files.

You get an unlimited amount of shots when using digital, so no worries on getting it right the first time.  We will periodically stop to look at your pictures in the camera to make sure we are getting what you want.

LOCATIONS

I shoot in Natural Light.

If there is a location in the Hampton Roads area that you really love just let me know. I am open.   Otherwise, I know of some really neat places that we can go (convenient for you of course), including the beach, national forrest, rustic buildings/etc.  We can talk about it ahead of time, meet up for coffee, and decide on a place that you are comfortable just being yourself.

Bring changes of clothes that are easily layered incase there are not bathrooms close by.
